Last week I went to Hawaii for the first time! And aside from the infinity pools, crushed ice and ultra-clear ocean, this place was a dream in so many ways I never even imagined. I won’t get into all the reasons why I loved it ( I mean, you would have to be loco not to like it, right?) but I will say if you find yourself visiting Maui in the near future these are the must-sees:

Mama’s Fish House for dinner
Trilogy boat/ sail to Lanai for the day
The Road to Hana/Black Sand Beach

Everything in Hawaii is lovely. From the people to the food to the weather, it’s the best place to truly escape.

I love this rainbow splashed maxi dress from Anthropologie because it reminds me of my carefree days on the island. From snow cones to the state license plate, Hawaii is perfectly bright, vibrant and represented by this happy symbol.

Way waaay back in the day, skinny jeans were believed to be a mere fashion trend. Do you guys remember that? People (myself included) thought that the super-tight pant fad would quickly fade. I pulled on my first pair back in high school and thought, ok, this is interesting... I liked them but there were lots of critics at first. Fast-forward 15+ years and the denim silhouette is now a wardrobe staple.

All body types have adopted the skinny jean as a closet mainstay. That's why when I find a flattering pair that also happens to be INSANELY affordable, I have to share. The best part about this time of year (besides the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale) and the amazing weather? A whole pile of other sales! I am heading on vacation in a couple of weeks and it's the perfect time to stock up on all the summer must-haves you've been eyeing. These shorts? Got them at Urban Outfitters for my July 4th holiday at full price. Now they are on sale at Urban Outfitters (along with a whole pile of other pieces). I broke down all the best steals of the weekend.
