Dressing for date night can be hard. All that pressure of wanting to WOW with your outfit, partnered with having no idea where you're going can be pretty stressful, amiright? The good news is that it's summer. And to me, that means the dress-code rules go out the window a bit. Anything goes!  Sneakers with a fitted dress, a daytime romper for dinner or a pair of sunnies and jeans for an after work meet-up, just embrace the warm weather and toss the rules out to sea!  

This off-the-shoulder number from NEWCHIC is a fun alternative to the classic LBD. I actually wore it to a work event the other night because it's a bit too dressy for date night over here in Venice beach, but I will probably pack it for my upcoming tropical vacation! Ahhh can't it always be summer?

Ok, we’ve all been there, we've ordered that trendy swimsuit that we LOVE but quickly grow tired of after just a few months. You know, those over-priced, neon colored, never-gonna-wear-next-year styles? I am a sucker for those. And while it's always fun to try on the flavor of the year, I am now trying to grab pieces that are good investments—meaning they won’t feel old after just one season.

This one-piece from Solid & Striped is a true classic. With a 1950's feel, high-waist and backside, it manages to pull off a look that's both timeless and totally flattering. It's a swimsuit that would be perfect for a trip to Cape Cod (where I wore it here), Europe and even your neighbors pool party. It's safe to say this one won't be going out of style anytime soon. FINALLY! I found a keeper.

While I typically describe myself as a “dress girl,” jeans have become much more of a staple in my wardrobe. Between my air-conditioned office and my all-over-the place lifestyle, it’s just often the easiest option. Great for date nights, parties, and when done right, even an interview! The key is finding a pair that looks and feels amazing. But once you have it, the options are endless! You’ve seen me style a few pairs of AG jeans on the blog and today I am going for a classic look with these black Farrah skinnies.  They are high-risesd—halleluiah! And they never seem to lose their shape. Day after day, they look just as good as they did when I first pulled them out of the box. The other reason why I love them? They hug your hips and don’t ever feel uncomfortable or too tight. It’s kind of the best of both worlds because they’re not too tight and not too loose.  Oh and AG is having their Semi-Annual Sale (but today is the LAST day) so you can grab these for much less if you move quick!
