EASY NEUTRALS

Sometimes less really is more.

For a refreshing summer look, lean towards the lighter end of the color spectrum. Today, I’ve decided to trade in my denim skirt for this blush colored version. I paired it with a white boho top, tucked it in to give things a little more shape and added neutral accessories.  I could always use an easy, breezy look (or three!) like this in my rotation. Couldn't you?

TALK TO ME

Venice, CA

The graphic tee. It's the shirt trend that's having a major moment right now. And while these witty, phrase-lined tops are nothing new, I will say it's easily one of the most versatile pieces in my current closet. There is no right or wrong way to wear it (which is why I love it so much). From ripped skinnies and sneaks to a dressed up blazer and a skirt, these fun tees pair well with just about everything.

For today's outfit, I wore a ruffled gingham skirt with a comfy graphic tee and bow heels. It's the perfect casual-meets-dressy-ish look! I'm into that combo right now. What about you guys? With so many options to choose from, I think it's important to pick a graphic tee that has a message that actually means something to you. For me, this one feels really fitting. I have always been one to look back for a bit too long, to romanticize the past. And this year, it's been a goal of mine to be more present. It's not always easy, but the big red saying on my shirt is a fun (and fashionable) little reminder.

BRING ON THE SALES

Venice, CA

I ordered my very first pair of AG jeans during a Black Friday sale online a few years ago. After hearing nothing but great things from friends, I decided to give the brand a try for myself. Classic, yet undeniably cool they offer styles that are forever in season and always the BEST quality. I stress that last part because that isn't always easy to find. You know what I'm talking about. Those dresses that look killer in the fitting room but wrinkle into a rag by the end of the work day. Or those jeans that you LOVE but after wearing once, stretch and lose shape. There's nothing worse. AG is made to wear again and again, and if you're like me you will live in their clothes. If you haven't tried them out yet, good news: they are having a Semi-Annual Sale right now so it's the best time to take the plunge. But hurry, all the good pieces go first (seriously).

I grabbed the Lane Polo Dress and it was ideal for a casual brunch here in Venice, but I also plan on adding it to my summer office lineup and packing it for my upcoming trip to Cape Cod. With a flattering silhouette and super soft feel, it's quickly becoming a new summer favorite!
