On this Monday, I'm excited to be partnering with Loopsway on hosting a giveaway!  Nothing wrong with a little Monday morning perk am I right?  They are offering one of my lucky readers one item of their choice from Loopsway’s new clothing line!  You may recognize them as a boutique online jewelry shop, known for their affordable and unique style- remember this pearl necklace I featured of theirs?  Well, now they are taking the same lovely quality and branching out into clothing and I couldn’t be more excited.  This first line of spring/summer clothing is classically feminine, which I love.  From the classic shirt dress, perfect for a casual lunch date or day at the office, to the floral scalloped shorts which I think look ever so classically east coast, the double pocket button-up, or the top with the metal detail, all can be dressed up or down to brighten up your day!

To enter the giveaway, just follow the instructions below in the Rafflecopter form. Open to U.S. readers. You can also gain bonus entries by liking on Facebook, as well as following on Twitter.  Oh and leave additional comments below for bonus entries. Giveaway will close and be announced on Friday. Good luck!  Xo

Take Two!

When I had a roommate, I’d always love to go through the large bags of clothes and shoes that she’d bring home after a long day of shopping.  Not only was she a great little fashionista, but I always admired a very particular shopping habit of hers: if she loved something, she’d always grab at least 2 pairs, and usually more if they had more colors.  She did this with purses, shoes, jeans, dresses- EVERYTHING! I’d be like, “Hey I love that navy purse!” and with a wry little smile she’d walk back to her closet and reveal that she also had it in nude and black as well.  Unfortunately, I was always too plain Jane to do that,  picking just one color or print and sticking to that option.  However, I’ve become wise in my older age and I’ve realized that when you find something great, it’s best to just say, “I’ll take two!” And this is especially true with a classic, timeless pieces like this double pocket blouse I’m wearing today.  Similar to the much pricier version you can find at J. Crew, I got these at Loopsway and love how the change in color adds a bit of variety on the look.  I tried to emphasize that by keeping all of my other accessories exactly the same.  Which do you guys like better?

This look is classic, a bit preppy, and east coast with a bit of a timeless spring/summer quality.  It can be dressed down for a casual summer outing (like I have done here) or you can wear this as more of a business casual look for a work event.  I paired the tan searsucker shorts from ZARA with my navy stiped clutch from the GAP , a yellow statement necklace from Ruche and finished the look off with some classic chocolate wedges from Steve Madden, which I found at Marshalls for a great little steal!

With classics that are affordable and just so essential to your every day wardrobe, it’s simply best to take two!

Well who doesn’t love a four day week? Cheers to this Monday (that’s actually a Tuesday) and the start of what’s to be a quicker than usual week!  I spent some time at the beach this past weekend and picked up a few too many freckles while enjoying the warm breeze and salty ocean air.  I love this time of year.  It’s the start of exciting summer excursions and endless fun!

This outfit is perfect for an afternoon stroll or a lunch date with the girls and it’s definitely got a bit of a New-England vibe to it.  I grew up spending my summers in little coastal towns in and around New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, so the bright colors and oxfords that embody those communities will always appeal to me.  I absolutely adore scalloped shorts, they add a little extra femininity to an otherwise plain short and these ones from Loopsway are great because they are also floral (what could be better right?)  They’re really comfortable, affordable, and I love the high waist because it gives you so many options for tops.  These are an essential for your summer wardrobe.  I paired them with a classic lace top that you might remember from this post and added pops of color with my bright Kate Spade bag and some of my favorite bracelets.
