The Venice Canals are practically in my backyard but somehow I always forget about them! A waterway lined with adorable homes and cottages, it's a perfect place to escape and recharge. I stopped by a few weeks ago (possibly a bit overdressed to walk the docks) on my way to meet friends for a Saturday happy hour, and I felt like I was worlds away.

I wore this wrap-waist striped mini dress from Goodnight Macaroon. It's effortlessly flirty and requires very little accessorizing. What could be better?
