STEP IT UP

I have I really hectic 9-5 routine—who doesn’t right? I work as a fashion editor and often early before I hit the office I do voice over work for a couple of kids animated shows. Odd, exciting, hectic, crazy (call it whatever you want) I am usually hustling to get 340 things done during a typical day. But no matter how crazed things get, I think it’s still important to express my personal style. That’s why I REALLY love the new limited edition Keds x kate spade new york leopard slip-ons. They are the ultimate fashion-meets-comfort shoe.

Great for fall, they will definitely be my go-to shoe for work, dinner—and everything in between! Animal prints are like neutrals. They show up on my must-have list season after season. Black, beige and powerful, it’s a killer combo of the calf hair and leopard print that adds that necessary edge in this pair of flats.

From ripped skinnies or black trousers, to comfy leggings or even this suede skirt, these shoes can take any staple piece from basic to bold in one easy step.

You’ll definitely see me running all over town in these!

A LITTLE GETAWAY

York Harbor, Maine

dd.jpg

Who doesn't love a good weekend getaway? Easy to plan and usually spontaneous, these three-day trips have led to some of my best adventures. And because my family lives in New Hampshire, I always have the option to switch up my scene and jump coasts. And I take advantage of it—often. This past Labor Day Weekend, I met them in the little ocean town called York, Maine. It is always amazing to catch up with family, eat great seafood and disconnect with spotty wifi coverage. I only wish I could make them a weekly thing.

I wore this off-the-shoulder top to dinner one of the nights (that it wasn't pouring) and then also to a lunch (I packed light!) So flattering and cute, I love the puffy sleeves and stripes. It is undeniably great for summer and the thicker fabric also makes it a perfect transitional piece for fall.

Do you ever look back at old pictures and think to yourself: What the heck was I wearing? I feel that way about this outfit here. I mean, these printed pants are fun, but there is something to be said about being subtle. I used to be about bold colors and prints but lately, I've been feeling less is more (for most looks). Who's with me?

Today's floral jeans are just that because the print is oh so pretty! They give my office outfit a little boost and when paired with a few pops of red, it really takes my everyday look up a few notches.
