A 20's Inspired Holiday

Los Angeles, CA

Nearly a century later, and I'm still inspired by the gorgeous styles of the 20's. Often pulling outfit ideas from the ladies of this era, I thought it would be fun to do 20's-esque holiday look this year. This pale pink slip dress was a perfect place to start. It boasts that classic flapper look with a less figure-defining shape and beautiful beading all over.

And just like it was back in the day, you can really make the dress your own. You can pile on the extras or keep it minimal and chic. I chose to go with the later. And also, I can't help but think about how crazy it is that we are a year away from 2020! Ah where does the time go?

A HANKY PANKY HOLIDAY

Not only is the holiday season a fun time to get dressed up, but it's also the perfect opportunity to well, not get dressed up and lounge around. Taking advantage of time off with friends and family has only one dress code requirement: comfort. It's one of the reasons why I LOVE this time of year.  Since I rarely splurge on nice sleepwear I really love receiving it as a gift...I mean, who doesn't?

This year, I am turning to Hanky Panky to find all the softest, comfiest styles.  Not only do they have the MOST COMFORTABLE and flattering underwear and bras, but they also have the dreamiest selection of pjs and lingerie. And assuming that the women in my world are on the same page (hi, sister!), these cozy styles are sure to be a hit! If you're doing a bit of last minute shopping like me, the sleep sets from Hanky Panky are a no-brainer!

'TIS THE SEASON...

Feeling like you’ve been to 34 holiday parties and still have more to attend? Same here. And while it can get overwhelming, it’s important not to lose the fun in all of it. For me, I find it’s best to be selective about what to attend and also, to be as kind as I can to myself.

This time of year, I usually tend to look back at my successes (and failures), which often leads to comparisons and that’s never a great thing. We all inevitably do this but to avoid going down that rabbit hole, I think it’s important to take breaks from the phone, enjoy all the friend gatherings, dance with the people you love and take a nice break from the office.

Hope you’re all enjoying the season of festivities!
