My Latest (Denim) Obsession

West Hollywood, CA

Is your closet is lacking a certain staple (ahem... the perfect denim skirt), then you've come to the right place.  This tie-waisted midi from Chicwish is great for day or night and is a fresh alternative to jeans. Whether you like to be a bit more casual or dress things up for the office, a good jean skirt (like this one) will always be a flattering choice.

Not sure how else to style it? Throw it on with a graphic tee and open-toe booties for a look that's oh so cool, or pair it with a bodysuit ballet slippers for a day at the farmers market. Whatever your taste may be, the styling options are endless!

SWIM SEASON

Venice Beach, CA

IMG_9290_edit.jpg

Summer is just around the corner, which means it's time to talk about all things swimwear! And while some people may overindulge in shoes or hats, I am the person who buys more swim options than I can wear in a season. To kick things off, I am sharing a trendier, off-the-shoulder favorite from Revolve, and a more classic style from a newer brand called Hermoza. Both looks offer something different but the one thing they have in common? They're both flattering.

If you're looking for a style that doesn't show too much skin, Hermoza has an incredible selection of pretty prints and designs to choose from. It's a great company to check out if you're a bit more conservative in your beachwear but still want to look stylish. Oh, and the quality is impeccable! This timeless navy set is one that I'll be wearing a lot this summer (and every summer for the foreseeable future!)

Alternatively, this striped off-the-shoulder suit is one to add if you're looking for something a bit more unique. Not only does the top have a super flirty silhouette, but the ties on the waist and top give it an ultra-feminine feel. Oh and my favorite part? It includes a matching scrunchie!

So, which style is your favorite?

BETTER THAN A FLOWER GARDEN

LACMA

I went to New England this past weekend to celebrate Mother's Day with my family and while a weekend is a bit ambitious for a coast-to-coast trip, I was able to pack in a lot. One of the highlights was our visit to the Tower Hill Botanical Gardens. I went with my Mum and sister and none of us had ever been, so it was fun to try something new. There were wooded trails, outdoor art, and fields and fields of fresh flowers. Everything seemed to be blooming and as an LA lady who doesn't really get to explore seasons, it was nice to get into the spring spirit.

Now if a garden tour is not exactly in your future, you can also swing into spring by upgrading your wardrobe. This chiffon beauty from Chicwish is the equivalent of buying yourself a fresh bouquet of flowers (that never dies). Not only does it have a wispy watercolor design, but the chiffon material and flowy fit make it flattering on just about every body type. In case this one isn't totally your style, I have linked more of my favorite floral maxi dresses below.
