MEET THE Snakeskin Print Collection BY Ann Taylor

Beverly Hills, CA

IMG_7368.jpg

Last week Ann Taylor launched a limited-edition Snakeskin Print Capsule Collection, and I adore it. Including a pair of shoes, several tops, a midi skirt, and a belt, this collection is a refined approach to the ever popular animal print. So if you're like me and you're constantly looking to give your office outfit a boost, these pieces are just perfect. Not too bold or overpowering, I love that it gives me the ability to try on the latest animal print trend, without feeling like I've abandoned my personal (more classic) style.

I am wearing the long sleeve Snakeskin Henley Blouse with a pair of ripped skinnies and some fun accessories: a velvet clutch, slingback pumps, and some femme hair barrettes. I love it because the lighter, breezy fabric makes it a great option for spring and summer! Which is your favorite piece from the collection?

SWEET SHEA BUTTER

The Body Shop

I've always loved shea butter. Rich in vitamins, it keeps me hydrated from head-to-toe. And at The Body Shop, they've sustainably sourced Community Trade Shea butter from The Tungteiya Women’s Shea Butter Association in Ghana since 1994. Women from the community handcraft 390 tonnes of Shea butter for The Body Shop every year using an 18-stage process passed from mother to daughter for generations. Not only is it an incredible process, but it empowers women, their families, and their communities.

From lip balm to hair masks, The Body Shop utilizes shea butter in just about every product you can think of! My go-to is their Shea Body Butter. It smells like a dream, it keeps my skin hydrated for hours and hours, and you can even use it in your hair! Do you guys have any DIY shea beauty recipes you follow? I may get crazy and try one soon (despite the fact that I am really not the DIY type).

GETTING WILD(ER)

Mar Vista, CA

Animal prints have been a thing for a while now. But I have never really been big into wearing them. No matter how many spots I'd see in fashion magazines, I never felt myself when I tried them on. But lately, with all the exotic options available, there are animal-printed styles that even I can pull off. Whether it's a leopard print jacket or python boots, these newer, more muted options are perfect for the more timid print-wearers out there (like me!)

This peachy zebra and leopard print dress from Nordstrom is a perfect example. It makes a statement without screaming at you. I love it paired with a leather jacket for some added edge and it would also be cute with a denim coat for spring. This animal-print purchase was one of my firsts, but I have a feeling it won't be my last.
