Brunch Plans

Larchmont Village, CA

There’s something so magical about a Sunday (or Saturday) marked by fresh-pressed juice, bacon, and bottomless mimosas with your friends. And if you're like me, you spend as much time dreaming about waffles as you do planning out what to wear while you devour them. Who's with me?

I wore this long, gorgeous maxi dress to brunch in Larchmont Village a few days ago. If you're not familiar with LA, it's an adorable little nook of Hollywood that is lined with shops and cafes. If you're ever visiting, you should definitely swing by! It feels like it was truly made for Sunday strolls and brunch dates. With so many maxi dresses to choose from this season, I think it's important to select styles that stand out. With a sweetheart neckline, darling embroidery and a swirl-worthy hem, it definitely fits in the category of 'standout'. To accentuate the colors I paired the look with a bright circle handbag and tassel earrings.

Dreaming of where you're going to brunch this weekend? ...me too!

Don't you love this time of year? It’s the start of exciting warm-weather excursions and endless fun!

This outfit is perfect for the springtime office scene or a brunch with the girls, and it’s definitely got a bit of New-England charm.  I grew up in New Hampshire and so classic style will always appeal to me. I really can't say no to a good peplum top and this one from SHEIN has got all the feminine details: a scalloped hem, eyelets and lace.  I paired it with a staple pair of cropped jeans and added some accessories.  Speaking of extras, this rose gold wash from Vincera is 15% off when you use the code STYLE15.

BETTER BASICS

Venice, CA

Looking to upgrade your go-to pieces? Same here. With each new season, I feel the need to declutter my closet and also refresh my everyday essentials. I'm talking cozy cardigans for winter, perfect sandals for summer—the things that will always remain in style no matter what new trends are being talked about.

For the warmer spring days, I've been switching out my sweaters for cute short-sleeved tees like this one and the one I am wearing here. Both are stylish enough to wear with a blazer or skirt, yet casual enough to pair with shorts. As for my jeans, I am swapping out my dark denim for lighter shades. This cropped pair from AG puts a new spin on white skinnies. From the flattering high-waistline to the edgy ankle cut, I love everything about them.  (Be prepared to see more of them in the future!)

In addition to those, I've found the comfiest pair of platform sandals around. Designed to make style feel good, I would seriously have worn these to Coachella (where we walked 10+ miles a day) if they came in time! Made by SAS Shoes, they are solid, comfy shoes with molded soles that contain millions of tiny air bubbles to provide shock absorption and extra support—talk about orthopedic chic! Check out more of their styles here.
