Ready to Party

The Culver Hotel

You’ve got the invites (and you’re STILL getting more!) Your close friends, your dear aunt, that new neighbor who moved in a few weeks ago—it seems like EVERYONE is throwing a party this holiday season. And while it’s undeniably the most wonderful time of the year, it can be tricky to align your wardrobe with your busy social calendar.  What you need is a plan: a clear idea of what you'll wear to each event. That way, you'll be free to enjoy the season for what it really is — an excuse to eat, drink and dance!

To prep for the endless party, I teamed up with Stylewe to put together a holiday look that’s sure to score you a compliment (or two)!

The LBD was just meant for holiday parties. Flirty and universally flattering, almost anyone can give this dress a twirl. Try it with some sparkle: a statement necklace or bracelet offer the right touch of festive flair. And because it’s so warm here in Los Angeles, I skipped wearing tights and opted for this fun fit and flare. However, if you live in a chillier climate, I’ve linked lots of other options for you at the bottom of this post.

 Enjoy the season of dancing!

One-of-a-kind

Culver City, CA

There’s a chill in the air (even here in California) but I’m still wearing skirts and cropped jackets. I know it’s the time of year that’s meant for plaid prints and oversized sweaters but that’s the beauty of living in LA. Even when it’s cold, it’s not really THAT cold. And when Stylewe asked me to pick out a few pieces from their current catalogue, I went right for this flamingo printed midi skirt. Isn’t it adorable?  I plan on wearing it straight through summer.

I paired it with a tucked-in top and a sweet little holiday red jacket. It’s a fun alternative to your go-to brunch look. I love trends just as much as the next fashion girl, but every once in a while, it’s fun to go a little off track. And anyone who knows me, knows that I really like to dance to my own beat. So for all my unconventional ladies out there—this one’s for you!

Back to Reality

Downtown Los Angeles

Back in LA and back on the grind.

I started a new job and my office is downtown. It's a world away from the Westwood high rise that I'd come to know so well, but so far, I'm loving the change. So far, all I know is that I'm across the street from one of the best Italian restaurants in the city-- Bestia-- and I'm just a few blocks away from this spot called Pizzanista that serves $2 slices on Tuesdays. Surrounded by high-class pizza and pasta? What's not to love? The scene is refreshing, artistic and full of life. I can't wait to explore more!

This is my back to work look. It's great for any season and each piece is incredibly affordable, including the skirt that I found at H&M for just $12.99!

Skirt: H&M (I found it in the store but similar here)

Handbag: Steve Madden c/o Marshalls

Striped Shirt: H&M

Watch: Kate Spade

Ankle Strap Pumps: Nine West
