Midweek Chic

There’s little not to love about matching separates. Not only do you effortlessly have an ensemble that looks put together, but you can also enjoy endless styling options. Wear these pieces separately and open a whole world of possibilities!

This turtleneck crop-top is great for dressing up high-waisted black trousers or for transitioning to spring with pleated shorts. The striped pencil skirt pairs with just about any solid top, spicing up your workweek look. I decided to pair this flirty figure-flattering skirt suit with an edgier military jacket. I think it is fun to blend the two together what do you guys think?

The next matching set on my list is this fun polka-dotted number from ASOS.  I love playful prints but whether you choose solids or patterns, you really can’t go wrong! If you’re looking for a quick way to polish your everyday wardrobe, I say go matchy matchy ladies!

TGIF.

Today I am keeping things easy, quick and casual.

In an effort to shake things up a bit, I strayed away from my usual lighter, brighter look and went with a basic black pairing.  With a staple jacket like this one, the styling possibilities are truly endless.  Whether you’re headed to work or out for a cocktail, this is the perfect day-to-night coat and I’ve been living in it all season!

I chose classic pumps and a flirty graphic tee to help soften my otherwise sleek getup.  If you’re looking for an outfit that’s playfully polished, grab your moto jacket and slip it on with a fun graphic tee or even a flowy shift dress.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Sweet Sweet Wintertime

Say what?

It’s eighty degrees in February? I’ll take it!
Yes it’s summer in Los Angeles this week.  The air is warm and everyone’s beginning to think of the lighter brighter days ahead. I’m soaking up these jacket-less evenings and breezy sun-kissed afternoon lunch breaks because although it’s never really cold here, this week has certainly felt like a treat.

Ok so I am actually laughing at myself as I type this because while yes it is great to have a bit of a heat wave here, I can’t help but acknowledge the fact that I have lost my sense of the seasons. My family and friends, who live back east, talk about snow and Arctic-like temps almost daily. It seems like every time I speak to them there is another blizzard! In fact, my sister informed me yesterday that her husband was quite literally skiing to work in the city of Boston.

Say Whaaat??!

Regardless of your current climate, spring is truly right around the corner (I swear!) and brightening your look is as easy as adding a vibrant color or flirty print!

Today, I attempted to make wardrobe mixing chic with this fiery floral and polka-dot combo. In the spirit of Valentines Day, I went with a look that is perfectly ladylike and ultra femme.  This ruffled blouse tucks in nicely to a high-waisted skirt or fitted trouser pant and a bold red lip gives your look a playful final touch.

If you’re going for a casual afternoon soiree this V-Day, this is perfect.  I have included some similar outfit ideas below for those of you in colder climates too!
